I pride myself to be quite knowledgable and committed to my craft in IT (Networking and Security System Deployment Mostly)

In my spare time, in the evenings i get to fiddle around at home and as such over the last few months out of purre determintaion i have finally put together my own little home lab for development and for fun really, because the F not ey?

so attached is a copy of my network topology (the latest 4.1) - yes its gone through several iterations lol

anyway its a decently designed network.

To outline it the network:

Router on a stick into a colapsed core (albiet small) Network

I have PFsense sitting at the top infront of my Modem and from the runs 2 seperate network cables one carrying vlan 1 and 11 and the other carrying Vlan 53 and 100

SW01 is the core switch trunking all the traffic to and from devices. SW02 is for my home media and wireless devices SW03 is for my My Personal endevours

Whats best about this network is that the media traffic from my tv's phones etc never mix with my vlan 100 or vlan 53 traffic, theyre on seperate links and even if completely saturate my Intels X550-T2 from my pfsense i always have the other link active so i think ive built a really strong platform.

Some services beyond plex im runing, are NTOPNG so i can view network traffic which is currerntly active and i have enabled PFBlockerNG but havent yet configured it, tho i believe it is enabled (i went through the wizard but didnt set anything beyond that)

I also have docker running on my PC and my VM's in Hyper V on VLAN100 are in a Domain running through a windows server so i can mess around with things and for testing.

Just throwing this out there to see what sort of reception it gets and open to any critism lol
