The concluding weeks of 2025 are filled with new Linux smartphone launches. We first got the Murena Fairphone (Gen. 6) that landed with /e/OS 3.0 and five years of support. Then more recently, we heard of the Jolla Phone making a return and a new project that has features we don’t usually see on most phones.

Going into 2026, I am convinced that Linux-powered smartphones will be a big thing as more and more people become fed up with the direction mainstream technology is going towards.

Writing this, I now realize I should have added this to our 2026 Linux and Open Source predictions article, lol.

Anyhow, another newish Linux smartphone has been launched by FuriLabs under their new enterprise-focused Void Phone sub-brand.

Void Phone VX1: An Enterprise-Ready Phone

The Void Phone VX1 is a rebadged FuriLabs FLX1s. It packs a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset with Mali-G68 MC4 graphics, 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128 GB of UFS storage.

The device runs the Debian-based FuriOS, which supports multi-boot, Android app compatibility, and KVM virtualization.

What makes it enterprise-ready are the mobile device management (MDM) features. We are talking device tracking, remote wipes, app whitelists, geofencing, custom app repos, and configurable security policies. Though, these MDM services cost $2.50 per phone per month.

Should they choose to, organizations can also take advantage of white-label customization with great control over what kind of software and hardware a batch of devices is shipped with.

As I mentioned earlier, the Void Phone VX1 is the same as the FuriLabs FLX1s but with different branding and focus, so the specifications are the same:

• **Display: **6.7" 1600x720 @90 Hz (*protected by *AGC Dragontrail Glass)
• Camera: 20 MP and a 2 MP macro on the rear and a 13 MP front.
• **Battery: **5,000 mAh Li-Po
