Alameda County officials have confirmed that the Livermore man who was allegedly killed by his roommate last month was a county public health commissioner with nearly 30 years’ experience working in healthcare organizations.

David Hurst, 55, became a member of the Alameda County Public Health Commission, which advises the Board of Supervisors, in August 2020, according to a LinkedIn page.
