Lyssna: Agency alarmed by young Swedes’ caffeine consumption The Swedish Food Agency (Livsmedelsverket) is concerned over the amount of caffeine being drunk by young people in Sweden. The consumption of energy drinks has increased significantly among youth in Sweden in recent years while the range of other products containing caffeine has also increased. The agency says that this means that many young people are consuming caffeine in quantities that can have a negative affect on the body, and it’s offering guidance to parents and others.
