In this post, we will show how to specify and verify imperative programs in Lean 4 using Velvet—an embedded verifier, which relies on a combination of automated symbolic and AI-assisted theorem proving techniques.

Disclaimer: At the time of writing, Velvet is distributed as part of the Loom framework. Velvet is currently under active development by VERSE Lab, as we are working to improve its expressivity and performance. It’s likely that its codebase will soon be moved to a separate repository.
