Five years ago the Snook bought me a silly Bluetooth Nintendo computer mouse from 8BitDo, and I’ve used it ever since. It’s not the most ergonomic mouse in the world, but I love it anyway. Unfortunately last November I noticed that the left button was starting to feel a bit “sticky” and mushy. Rodd opened it up and discovered that the conductive rubber piece underneath had actually split from use. (I blame Palia. 😂)
I found out that 8bitdo sell replacement parts for some of their products, but I couldn’t see any that looked like my busted bit. In desperation, I sent through a request via their contact form. To my delight they responded the next day asking for more details on the part I needed and then confirmed they could get their factory to do another production run of them. They quoted me $3 USD for the part and $6 USD for shipping, which seemed reasonable. Then they sent me a special URL to a “test product” on the site where I could place my order. It shipped just over two weeks later. Today when I got home, Rodd installed it for me and my mouse is working great again.
Three cheers for excellent customer service!
