What I Built

Roast Café Uno is a cinematic reimagining of a coffeehouse companion app. I leaned into a “daily ritual” theme—warm latte photography, subtle parchment gradients, and oversized rounded cards—to make every screen feel like a crafted menu board. Shared menu data powers both Home and Menu, so featured drinks, categories, and imagery stay synchronized everywhere.

Cross-Platform Magic

Which platforms does your app run on?

• WebAssembly ( I was only able to demo on android, web and Mac desktop. Uno Platform let me target and of the above platforms simultaneously from the same codebase. Hero behavior, menu repeaters, and command handlers all live in shared XAML/C# with no per-platform rewrites—just a single dotnet build produces both targets.

Interactive Features

• Scroll-driven hero card with parallax and quick actions (“Browse full menu”, “Discover”).
• Category chips that instantly focus the associated menu section.
• Animated menu cards with add-to-order buttons tied to a centralized OrderStore.
• Featured drinks carousel reusing consistent imagery across Home and Menu.
• Responsive layout that gracefully adapts between desktop and mobile breakpoints.

The Wow Factor

The visual storytelling. Every menu item now carries high-resolution photography with consistent framing, so browsing feels like flipping through a real café showcase. Combined with the layered background, glassmorphism panels, and drop-shadows on hover, the app delivers that “wow” moment the instant you land on Home or drill into a category.
