House Democrats introduced a discharge petition Wednesday to force action on a bill banning members of Congress, the president, the vice president and their immediate families from owning, holding and trading stocks.
The petition so far has been signed by seven Democrats, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (N.Y.) and House Administration Committee ranking member Joe Morelle (N.Y.). It would need 218 signatures to succeed, meaning that a few Republicans will have to sign on to it…
