discovering the Goodwill with all the good stuff
Yesterday I was at my local Goodwill looking for cool tech but I could not find anything good. So I did some research and found that a few more minutes away there is a even bigger better Goodwill that has it's own tech building so the next day I
went there
The drive was about 50 minutes yeah that's all normal drive.

discovering the Goodwill with all the good stuff
Yesterday I was at my local Goodwill looking for cool tech but I could not find anything good. So I did some research and found that a few more minutes away there is a even bigger better Goodwill that has it's own tech building so the next day I
went there
The drive was about 50 minutes yeah that's all normal drive.
arriving at the Goodwill
So there are 2 different parts of the parking lot, there is the donation/party/raffle section and then the store section. Why I think it's a party, well there was really loud music coming out of the building and then there was a lady speaking Spanish over a really loud microphone.
walking across the parking lot
I am not going to elaborate on that:).
going into the wrong store
It turns out there are 2 different parts of this Goodwill, there is the part we first went into aka the shirt and that kind of stuff section and then the section we wanted to go into but did not enter the first time. So we had to exit the main store and walk around the parking lot into the Computer Works section.
arriving at the right section of the store
When we first walked in we saw the cash register area where they sold stuff like an old Kindle that was probably like from 2017 or something.
walking into the computer section
We walked past the cash register section and into the computer section.
the computer section
In the computer section they had computers such as a random hp pro thingy, a Dell OptiPlex 5050(i think), a Dell OptiPlex 3050(i think), more OptiPlexs. And a cool little bonus each computer had a monitor with it so you could do monitory things with it.
going farther then the computer section
Once you pass the computer section you enter the "Audio" section which was just like 50 speakers laying on the floor. Then past that there are aisles with stuff like a Cricut without the charging cable, a metal keyboard with a bunch of random coffee stains on it. Now I stayed in that section for a while because I did not want to buy a computer from Goodwill but here I am sitting typing this blog post with a Dell OptiPlex 7060 from none other then Goodwill.
re-entering the computer section
There was nothing else to get so I decided I was going to get a PC. I looked around a bit and then locked on the Dell OptiPlex 7060.
buying it
I asked an employee how I buy a computer and he basically just said grab it and the cable and then come to checkout. So we did that. Once we checked out we brought it to our car dropped it off in our trunk and then brought the cart back to the store.
a note about checkout
display port✅ HDMI❌
so add another $7.99 to the total.
pit stops on the way home
So you know what I realized, it does not have WIFI so we had to stop at BestBuy to get a WIFI to usb dongle thing. Then we also went to PetSmart to get catnip for our cat for Christmas, then we got sucked in and bought a tower thing for her to sit on.
safety measures
When we got home instead of bringing it in and setting it up right away we bleach wiped it in the trunk of our car first.
that's it
