And for the most part, it’s a good thing, because not everyone is looking to spend $1,000+ or maybe even $500 when they’re looking for something new. Of course, if you have a really tight budget, the HP 14 is going to be the laptop to go with, coming in at just $129.
What’s the hardware like?
For the price, you really can’t expect much here, but this laptop will be able to get the basics done. When it comes to the specifications, you’re getting an AMD Athlon 7120, a dual-core processor, along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS storage.
This laptop also features a 14-inch screen, and comes with an HD webcam. The port selection is also pretty good, with two USB-A, one USB-C, HDMI, and a 3.5mm audio jack. You also get Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth for wireless connectivity.
How can you use this laptop
As far as what this laptop can do, well, it can handle web browsing, authoring documents, and streaming. You can try pushing it a little harder, but you shouldn’t expect to get away with more intensive tasks like photo and video editing.
Again, this laptop is built to handle the basics, so staying within that range should provide a good experience. The battery life is also pretty good, with HP stating up to 11 hours of use when watching videos.
