This article continues from the article on compute shader basics.

This is going to be a long 2 part article and we’re going to take many steps to optimize things. This optimization will make things faster but the output will unfortunately not change the result so each step will look the same as the previous step.

Further, we’re going to mention speed and timing but the articles and examples would get even longer if we added the code to do the timing so we’ll leave timing to another article and in these articles I’ll just mention my own timing and provide some run-able examples.
