An increasing number of people are finding trail running relatively late in life – and they’re reaping the health benefitsEarlier this year, 62-year-old Karla Wagner placed second in the 100-mile division of the Grandmaster Ultras, an Arizona trail-running event designed for 50-and-over runners in the age group known as “grandmaster”.For most of her adult life, Wagner, who is from Lander, Wyoming, avoided running because it triggered her asthma. I was compiling something that relies on Translate-C. When I accidentally used aarch64-linux instead of aarch64-linux-gnu as the target, I got an “opaque types have unknown size and therefore cannot be directly embedded in structs” error caused by the following definition in lib/libc/include/aarch64-linux-musl/bits/alltypes.h: #if defined(__NEED_struct_timespec) && !defined(__DEFINED_struct_timespec) struct timespec { time_t tv_sec; int :8*(sizeof(time_t)-sizeof(long))*(__BYTE_ORDER==4321); l... The merge landed June 20, 2026. After around 362 commits spread across six years of incremental work, no call site using the function rem... Read more ›

Gopher seems to me a very viable and very capable protocol for serving information over the internet. There's still a lot of very good reasons to use HTTP and HTTPS over Gopher, however I'd like to recommend anyone who knows about Gopher to check it out. No trackers, no ads, nothing of that sort. It's just plaintext that can be browsed, and ways to include files. It reminds me a bit of BBS boards with how ASCII-dependant it is. I'd like to think it also supports Unicode(UTF-8) however I have ... Read more ›
