There are certain widely used numbers and calculations that, without additional information, can give the wrong impression. Take body mass index (BMI), for example. It’s presented as a way to measure whether a person is at a healthy weight. BMI is calculated using an individual’s height and weight. Generally a BMI of 25 or more is regarded as overweight.
