I work at a pet ER in Boston and I’ve seen more dogs coming in after being hit by a car in the past few weeks than I have in the year and a half or so that I’ve worked here.

Please keep your dogs on a leash when you’re out, it’s not just the law, it could save your pets life. You can’t control the actions of drivers around you, but you can control your actions, and also it’s the law to keep your dog on a leash outside of your property and when not in a securely fenced in area.

Drivers, please be aware. A hit and run for you could be the worst night of someone else’s life. If you hit someone’s dog stop and take some god damned accountability.
