First, I’ll tell you a little about myself, then I’ll share a little about the blog.

I consider myself a lifelong learner. There’s just something magical about deep diving into a topic and allowing yourself to go down all the rabbit holes.

One thing I’ve loved since I was a child was writing. What I enjoy writing has changed over the years, and there have been times when I couldn’t write at all, but I’m in my mid 40s now, and I still love the written word.

I love it all, from pondering things to getting the words out. I love reading the thoughts of others and connecting them to my own in ways that make sense for me, which explains my fascination with journaling, commonplace books, bullet journaling, junk journals, zettelkasten, the hipster pda, and Cornell notes.

I can see the beauty in all of these things, but most of them have been like trying on beautiful shoes that don’t fit quite right.And the same goes for this blog domain. I’ve owned it for a while and have tried to use it for different things, but nothing I tried felt right for a space that I share my name with, until now.

I recently found the IndieWeb community, and it’s helped me by showing me what’s possible and by giving me the tools I need to carve out my own special little place. A place where I can write, play, explore, learn, and share my world over a hot cuppa. A place that feels worthy of my name, because it’s not just one aspect of me or one income stream, it’s just me.
