There are lines as I arrive at the Neue Nationalgalerie – long ones, snaking across the vast concrete plaza from which the museum, a squat glass pavilion, protrudes. On the façade, in bright neon scrawl, is the title of Nan Goldin’s show: This Will Not End Well. I landed in Berlin a few hours ago. It’s late on a Friday, November 2024.
