The chip serves a web agent IDE, a native MCP server and a REST API, runs the code in a sandbox (with live web-request / fetch support), and drives its own screen + LED — up to 8 parallel PySpell processes on that same half-megabyte of RAM. Like MicroPython, but two syntaxes, the parser never ships to the device, and English is the third syntax. Read more ›

I remember talking to my Grandfather shortly before he passed away about the changes he’d seen in his lifetime. Born in 1911, the thing he said that really stuck with me was that when he was a child people were barely puttering around off the ground in aeroplanes; A few years before his 60th birthday, men walked on the moon. When I look back at the simple 8-bit microcomputers of my childhood, compared to the modern world in which my daughter is growing up, I can’t help but feel like I’ve seen... Read more ›

This project is a continuation of my previous autoresearch project, which optimized a reranking model to be under 10MB. Digging deeper by hand, I was able to take the size reduction much further, while outperforming reranking models which are 30x larger on this task. In the end I was able to reduce the payload from 11.4 MB to 2.79 MB gzipped. You can see it in action on my resume page. Each square represents 1 kB. The majority of overall size reduction came from removing the ORT dependency. H... Read more ›

Background Neurodegenerative diseases significantly impact brain health in older adults, and although dietary vitamin C intake has been associated with a reduced risk of cognitive impairment, it remains unclear whether plasma vitamin C levels independently affect brain structure and neural connectivity. This study aimed to investigate whether plasma vitamin C levels were independently associated with brain volume and default mode network (DMN) connectivity in older adults. Methods All partici...
