Point-in-time restore is a built-in recovery feature in Windows 11, released as part of the June 23, 2026, optional update, KB5095093, for versions 24H2 and 25H2. It uses the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) to capture full-system snapshots on a recurring schedule automatically.
