Google Cloud and Thales to launch sovereign cloud in Germany by 2026 (opens in new tab)

Google Cloud has announced a partnership with Thales to launch a sovereign cloud platform in Germany by the end of 2026. This initiative follows the Criteria Enabling Cloud Computing Autonomy (C3A) framework established by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). The platform will be managed by a legally independent German entity staffed by local personnel to ensure operational and data sovereignty. <a href="
