Microsoft tests Copilot+ AI features on discrete GPUs instead of NPUs (opens in new tab)
Microsoft is currently testing the ability to run Copilot+ AI features using discrete graphics cards rather than dedicated Neural Processing Units. This experimental functionality is available through the Windows App SDK for users on the Windows Insider Experimental Channel with Developer Mode enabled.
