Google Maps unveils new Local Guides badge and refreshed contributor visuals (opens in new tab)

has rolled out an all-new Local Guides badge, now available to users at Level 4 and higher. The update introduces a new badge design blending classic orange and modern blue, with a central star symbol. Profile visuals have also been refreshed, including an updated progress bar and shimmering responsive backgrounds. Level 10 contributors receive additional highlights with a brighter profile shimmer and a star design around their profile picture. |
