Oilers hire Mike Babcock as coach after the NHL clears him following an investigation (opens in new tab)

The Edmonton Oilers have hired Mike Babcock as coach. They announced the move Tuesday after the NHL completed an investigation last week into Babcock's brief tenure in Columbus in the summer of 2023 that ended before he could run training camp, let alone coach a game.
