U.S. cotton LCA claims negative carbon footprint (opens in new tab)

NORTH CAROLINA – A new life cycle assessment claims U.S. cotton can deliver a negative greenhouse gas footprint when biogenic carbon storage is included. The ISO-conformant report, commissioned by Cotton Incorporated and conducted by WSP USA, assesses the impact of producing one kilogram of U.S. cotton fibre packaged in bales at the ginning gate.
