Secretless AI-Powered Development: Secure AWS Credentials for GitHub Copilot in Lima (opens in new tab)

Riptides brings secretless, on-the-wire credential injection to AI-powered development environments. Instead of mounting credential files or passing secrets as environment variables, workloads in VMs receive short-lived credentials dynamically and transparently at runtime. In this post, we showcase our approach using Lima VMs on macOS with GitHub Copilot, enabling AI-generated code to run securely in sandboxed environments without ever handling credentials.
