In May, 1943, photographer Marjory Collins visited Buffalo, New York, to document women war workers for the Office of War Information. One woman she profiled was a Mrs. Grimm, a widow who spent her working days as a crane operator at war plant Pratt and Letchworth and her evenings and weekends caring for her children at home.
