This 1928 Chandler Special Six is one of two examples built with dual-cowl five-passenger Sportster bodywork and is said to have been owned by Chandler Motor Car Company founder Frederick C. Chandler, whose family trust it remained in for 86 years, a span that included a 1963 refurbishment and several years in storage.
