interactive logon machine inactivity limit via GPO not working (opens in new tab)

resurrected an old thread, not sure if it is the exact issue you’re facing, but I ran into a similar issue. Value for screensaver timeout would be set to 15 mins. Change it to another value, say 240 mins, save, go back in, back to 15 mins. Hunted for it in gpmc.msc, gpedit.msc … no luck. Ended up finding it in secpol.msc … Security Settings => Local Policies => Security Options => Interactive logon: Machine inactivity limit … was set to 900s (15 mins). I set it to 0 (zero), now...
