DCP-o-matic • issues playing back dcp files. (opens in new tab)

so i've rendered a few dcp files with dcp o matic, and i tested them afterwards, and they played fine. however, they don't seem to want to play if a drive containing the original mov file is not attached to the computer. what am i doing wrong?
