Without being judgmental about it, it’s fair to say that Hanna Arendt’s relationship to feminism and patriarchy can be best described as, ‘it’s complicated.’ But I also think it is fair to say that she diagnosed the political significance of what has come to be known as ‘toxic masculinity’ relatively early in her work.
