Britain's GSK has agreed to buy US cancer drugmaker Nuvalent for $10.6 billion in cash, a 40 percent premium that sent its shares up 39 percent. The deal hands GSK two late-stage lung cancer drugs awaiting FDA decisions, and is timed to soften the loss of its best-selling HIV medicine from 2028.
