Sudan War Crimes Complaint Filed in Kenya Tests Nairobi’s Dual Role in RSF Conflict (opens in new tab)

Twelve Sudanese survivors filed Kenya's first-ever universal jurisdiction complaint against the RSF, asking Nairobi's prosecutors to investigate torture and sexual violence by paramilitaries some of whom are believed to reside in Kenya. The filing lands in a country that has simultaneously hosted RSF leadership for peace talks, creating a test of both legal capacity and political will that Kenya's justice system has never previously faced.
