Apple's iOS 27 introduces a second tier of Apple Intelligence that requires 12GB of RAM — cutting out the base iPhone 17 and, more strikingly, the iPhone 16 Pro that Apple sold as its AI flagship just a year ago. The divide is real, and it runs through the middle of Apple's own product line.
