Huawei released HarmonyOS 7 to developers Friday with an agent-friendly architecture and a voice assistant integrated with more than 2,000 specialised AI agents, the operating system has captured 19 percent of the Chinese smartphone-operating-system market in Q1 2026 against Apple iOS at 16 percent and Android at 65 percent, and the cumulative HarmonyOS 7 release positions Huawei as the cleanest direct competitor to Apple iOS 27 in the cumulative China consumer-AI-agent commercial battle.
