External Affairs Minister Jaishankar called US Secretary of State Rubio on June 13 and told him the killing of three Indian mariners by US Navy strikes on commercial tankers in the Gulf was not justified. Rubio's response warned that blockade violations would not be tolerated and contained no expression of regret.
