Nineteen rebel TMC Lok Sabha MPs will meet Speaker Om Birla on Monday to demand recognition as the real Trinamool Congress. They have enough members to merge with BJP and avoid disqualification under the anti-defection law. Instead, they want something the 91st Constitutional Amendment abolished in 2003: the right to split a party in Parliament without leaving it.
