China's LineShine became the world's fastest supercomputer at ISC 2026, posting 2.198 exaflops with an entirely domestic CPU design containing no American components — the first machine to clear two exaflops in the TOP500's 33-year history. The achievement, built on LX2 processors and Kylin OS, shows that US export controls on Nvidia chips did not prevent China from reaching the top of the global rankings.
