US journalist: Trump is building bridges with Belarus to extend them to Moscow (opens in new tab)

According to the journalist, Trump is talking to the Belarusian leader in order to further improve relations with Russia. “That’s why he is lifting sanctions on Belarus, but for now cannot do so on Russia. He’s doing what is within his power right now,” he said.
