Duo Mobile authenticator app no longer recommended? (opens in new tab)

I went to Wirecutter website but the Duo Mobile authenticator app is no longer recommended, it used to be Duo Mobile authenticator app recommended , can I still use Duo Mobile authenticator app? I don't want to use Google authenticator app\. I'm using my Galaxy S25 FE
