Galaxy Watch 4 cannot dismiss alarm (opens in new tab)

I think this started around the time that Google Play Services began using up a lot of battery, but I don't know if they're related\. Recently, when an alarm comes up, I can't dismiss it on my watch\. Swiping up from the checkmark produces no response\. If I swipe down from the top, I can get to settings immediately, so I don't think it's an issue with the screen\. At the same time, swiping from the left to get to notifications is slow\.
