Question - How to display keypad for dialing a phone number in Android 7.1.1? (opens in new tab)

I've got a decade old cell phone that I never use for voice calls. I only use it for receiving text messages and checking the weather report. But today I needed to use it to dial a phone number and I realized that I had forgotten how to display the numeric keypad. It's running android 7.1.1.
