May 7 marks a year since a driver hit my dog Drizzy and I, one block from our house in Silver Spring on our afternoon walk. We still see the driver sometimes, riding down Thayer Avenue past the intersection where he ran a stop sign, swerved, and showed no remorse after he hit us.
