Before she became known as a folk singer-songwriter, Orton sang over big-beat and electronic tracks with The Chemical Brothers. Seeing the woman who would later make intimate albums like Central Reservation fronting a rave crowd and performing songs like this cover of Tim Buckley’s “I Never Asked To Be Your Mountain” is wonderfully unexpected and experimental.
