US partners with Colossal on endangered species BioVault (opens in new tab)
The U.S. government and Texas-based Colossal Biosciences announced a partnership to create a national BioVault for genetic material from endangered and threatened species. The project, with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, aims to collect living cells, reproductive tissues and DNA from more than 2,300 plant and animal species in the United States and abroad protected under the Endangered Species Act.
