YouTube updates Shorts with 2x playback, no dislike (opens in new tab)
YouTube announced June 25 that it is rolling out changes to the Shorts player, including a Clear Screen mode that temporarily hides icons and text, a 2x playback-speed option, and easier muting after tap-to-pause. The company said the features will roll out over time; 9to5Google reported the rollout starts the same day.
