The U.S. Senate confirmed Kevin Warsh as Federal Reserve chair on Wednesday, voting 54-45 to approve President Trump's nominee to succeed Jerome Powell when Powell's four-year term as chair ends Friday, May 15. The vote was largely along party lines; Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania was the only Democrat to support Warsh, and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York did not vote.
