The U.S. Senate confirmed Kevin Warsh as chair of the Federal Reserve in a 54-45 vote on Wednesday, approving President Trump’s nominee to replace Jerome Powell when Powell’s four-year term as chair ends Friday. The vote followed Senate approval Tuesday of Warsh for a 14-year term as a Fed governor.
