B.C. approves Red Chris expansion as Clayoquot concerns grow (opens in new tab)

British Columbia Environment and Parks Minister Tamara Davidson approved an amendment to the Red Chris Porphyry Copper-Gold Mine environmental assessment certificate, allowing the northwestern B.C. operation to move from open-pit mining to underground block-caving.
