US science agency halts removals from 900-instrument ocean network (opens in new tab)
The U.S. National Science Foundation said Thursday it would stop removing or reducing equipment from the Ocean Observatories Initiative, reversing a plan announced in May to pull hundreds of deep-ocean instruments from service.
