Researchers publish complete connectome of adult fruit fly (opens in new tab)
An international team led by labs at Harvard Medical School and Princeton University published the first complete wiring diagram of neuron-to-neuron connections in the central nervous system of an adult fruit fly. The map links the fly brain with the nerve cord, its equivalent of a spinal cord, extending an earlier connectome of the fly brain.
