arXiv to impose one-year ban for unchecked LLM submissions (opens in new tab)

arXiv, the research preprint repository, will impose a one-year ban on researchers who submit papers containing unchecked LLM output, according to the reports. The reports described the targeted submissions as papers full of AI "slop" or unchecked large-language-model material.
